You have to see it to believe it. Sony finally mastered the hologram and they made a demo by unleashing Nessy in the Tokyo Bay. A huge 15m Holographic Monster. This could've been a huge hype machine for Cloverfield, but damn - Sony just owned everything. This looks 20 years in the future. How will they adapt this technology? Will it be in gaming? Who knows. http://gamereviewsblog.com/?p=88/sony-unleashes-nessy-in-tokyo-bay Sony unleashes Nessy in Tokyo Bay
They should've totally done that without warning xDSony unleashes Nessy in Tokyo Bay
They should've totally done that without warning xD
That would have been awesome.
holy crap!:o
They should've totally done that without warning xD
And have the JDF swarm the bay with gunboats?
how isnt this in the main news was that actually real?
God damn!
Wow. And yet again, Sony proves themselves to be one step ahead on the technology front lines. This is why I support them.
Pretty amazing, it looked like they sprayed something into the air just before the projection started so there was some sort of stuff for the light to bounce off.
theme park comes to mind...sony you impress me every year..... BUT PLEASE RELEASE SOME BETTER PHONEs!!!!!
how isnt this in the main news was that actually real?
It was in the news...but I think it was like a week or two weeks ago!
Wow. And yet again, Sony proves themselves to be one step ahead on the technology front lines. This is why I support them.
Me too man!! Me too! :)

Pretty sure that was the hologram its self, hologramming the water burst as nessie came up from ''underwater''. Just like when it resubmerged. but I could be wrong. however, a true hologram doesn't require something for light to bounce off of.
EDIT: Err.. not in the sence of what you are talking about. all the light-bouncing is done at the base of the hologram, which then projects the image above. I don't know a bunch about the technology, but that is what I would assume goes on. If it were being projected onto a screen of water (which is what I think you were getting at), it would be a projection, not a hologram.
not gonna lie, but that was awesome.....*pumps fists in air*
Pretty damn cool.
Wow that was amazing.....Next I want GodzillaAnd without warning in Japan with Godzilla would be amazing
HOLY #$%^$%!NO WAY!Wow that is amazing.
Wierd, I'll have to look up some information on how they are doing this it's not that often that I see a tech thing that I don't understand how they are doing it. Nothing to bounce the light off of??? I don't get that at all.Intersecting points of light maybe?Cool stuff, time to do some research.
That was pretty badass. Still not ''teh future,'' but pretty badass.
