JRPG's outside of the big nostalgia filled franchises always get a hard ride. There have been plenty of top quality JRPG's that have gotten in the 7's -8's and been on all accounts top games. For some reason they get marked harshly.

They really didn't talk about the story and characters. Such a disappointing review, no wonder they aren't main stream.
I'm just wondering how is presentation A-. It has 20 second load times between each random battle.
Reviews are just long winded opinions, it's up to the gamer to decide if he likes the story or not.Unless they're just a tool who doesn't journey past the mainstream JRPGs and can't form their own opinion of a video game, which is 95% of all Western JRPG players. They need their hand held and to be told what to like, whenever they hear someone say they didn't like something, they'll turn around and say it sucks too.The others are just complete d-bags who like to start stupid confrontations.
Sounds great to me. I will be picking this one up next week. I am just completely in the mood and ready for a new, long, epic story with some old school gameplay. This will fit the bill nicely, I think.

Only Gamespy and X-Play count, and whatever other sites give it a bad review, the good ones are biased and paid off.

I can't think of any other genre where the contempt held for it by those who dislike it is in such extremes.
