I seriously do, kevin vanord will say its born, cliched, bland and the characters suck even though ign said there a nice dungeons, and there are several memorable characters.Who thinks Lost Odyssey will get a 6 - 6 ...
I'm going to say from 1-9. Anything is possible.Who thinks Lost Odyssey will get a 6 - 6 ...
I'm going to say from 1-9. Anything is possible.
i'm with him lol
GS are random and unreliable and 360 fanboys so I'd say.....10
Well if it scores below 8 its a crime, why? Its a JRPG its just guys lining up to take hits at bats, and it always has been the gameplay hasnt changed in 10 years
It'll get a 6 or 6.5 judging from past scores here. Unless the game is repetitive, then it'll get a 9.
I miss Greg Kasavin
yeah id say it will get between 6.0 and 7.5 here on gamespot, though from what iv read it should be 7.0 to 8.0 material
It'll get a 6 or 6.5 judging from past scores here. Unless the game is repetitive, then it'll get a 9.
lol :) so true, only repetitive games can get 9.0 from Kevin V.

If Kevin V reviews it, it is impossible to know. Does anyone else even review big name console games anymore? It seems to me like most of the other reviewers have either left, or have been laid off.His recent stuff is all over the place. He gave ME an 85, (AAA on GR, IGN, 1up, etc.,) games like NMH and AC AAA's (both AA's on GR and below AA on IGN, 1up, etc.) So, using the scores the game already has to base what GS's score will be is impossible. The better question is, why do people even care about GS's scores anymore? Nothing against GS or anything, but the glory days of this site's reviews are long, long gone. The forum's are still cool and everything, but the days of this site being a reviewing lighthouse among the big name sites are long gone. Long gone.

Now Kevin V is taking over, I bet CNET is on the verge of taking this website into their own hands.
Gerstmann was good though (don't get me wrong, Kasavin was awesome too,) he was also one of the founding fathers of this site so him being in charge of the review dpt. was hardly shocking. All of my favorite reviewers (the ones with opinions that seemed to be closest to my own) are no longer with GS, so honestly I don't care what any game gets on this site anymore. Nothing against Kevin V, but his opinion is just way off base from my own based on what I've seen of his work. I rented ME and ended up buying it because it was so awesome. When playing the game I realized that much of the game's largest critiques in the review were completely made up (not being able to aim the Mako, there being lots of Thresher Maws.)I bought AC based on this site's review (I used to do that all the time based on this site's reviews and rarely did it fail me) and ugh, that's something I'd rather forget. What a dull game. Who cares about GS's reviews anymore? CNET has completely destroyed this site's relevance.

Jeff wasnt the one to be in charge, he was best as the goofy guy, not the boss.

Lost Odyssey has a ring system and a wall defense system that are both unique. Read the ign review for a description. Im not trying to bash FPS, I love them as much as anybody else. Im just bashing the bias that north american gamers have towards JRPGs.
