Why does Sony whip PAL territories?

Here in Australia, we pay $700 for the 40gb PS3, which translates to roughly $600 USD. Sony also intends on charging us full price for first party titles. On top of that, they have no plans on making sure that we Aussies recieve the Metal Gear Solid: Essential collection.So lets ge this straight: We pay more for hardware and software, we get crazy delays, we have no choice between multiple SKUs, we don't deserve MGS: Essential Colection, and much more. This is the same treatment they give other PAL countries, yet the PS3 continues to outsell the 360 in Europe and Australia? I am positive that many people (not all, but many) within PAL territories are buying the PS3 primarily for the brandname. Well, thats not me. I go for companies that have good ethics and don't shaft customers due to their geographical location. That is why I went from PS2 to Wii60. Until Sony can stop treating PAL terrioties like second-grade customers, I won't buy a PS3.Your thoughts? Why does Sony whip PAL territories?

It's just pricing schemes based on market analysis. If US citizens had a lot of money PS3 would have been priced accordingly.

The whole gaming industry hates Europe and Australia.All consoles have overpriced games, release date date delays and other crap. Americans don't realise how lucky they are, especially the cheapness of their games. Look at MoH:H2 on Wii... I've been waiting a while for it after its delay, it came out today only to for people to notice the online mode has been axed. Only for Australia, without any reason or notification.It's just rediculous.
It's not only Sony y'know.. Anyone can do the blame game. Super Smash Bros. Brawl doesn't even have a release date for the PAL region yet..

However, I was surprised that the DS Lite was released here before North America. :)
How is that SSBB release date looking?

It's everybody, not just Sony. Also, the average income and minimum wage is much lower in the US than here in Aus, so of course it's going to cost us more money. That's economics.

The 360 still costs about $570 here which is just under $500 US.
