what happened epic?

i think epic is loosing iti mean they still have good games like Gears, and UT3, but there games arnt the way they used to bei mean UT3 felt like it was lacking in the online play and felt just like the last oneand Gears had a short single player and the online was a joke with 4vs4 P2P/lag/host adv. i know MS was running the online, but c'mon so many ppl got gears they could at least put up some dedicated servers for usand the Unreal Engine 3.... what a pain... personally i think each dev teams should stick to there own engine bcz all these random unreal engine 3 games are seriously sucking, considering the engine isnt even that impressive, i mean the CryEngine 2 seems something closer to this genis ne1 else feeling this way too? or am i the only onewhat happened epic?

I also think the engine for DMC4 blows away UE3. Cant stand the blurry overbloomed look of UE3.
Epic will be praised again once Gears of War 2 and UT3 comes out for the 360. The PS3 didn't really do these Epic games any justice.

i think many developers use it cause its good and affordable ???but the games turn out to be horrible sometimes ( a lot of times ) still wen GOW2 comes the graphics will be amazing
UT3 got ps3rd'd. Once the greatness of Gears 2 comes out they will be right on top again

[/QUOTE] Actually, UT3 was much better on the PS3 than Gears was on the 360 (or any of the other dozens of games running Unreal Engine on the 360 for that matter). UT3, COD4, %26 Warhawk are the ultimate in online gaming as many PS3'ers can attest to. And the same goes for both UT3 %26 Gears on the PC. Both the PS3 %26 the PC did the engine PLENTY of justice...The fact remains that the Unreal Engine just isn't the most advanced engine on the market anymore.

And to this day more people play Gears online than Resistance or even UT3 on the PS3. All I'm saying there was so much hype with the PS3 UT3 modding, but when its finally release you hardly saw any threads praising UT3 with the PS3 modding capability. UT3 will sell better on the 360.

[/QUOTE]Until it's confirmed that mods are coming to 360 and MS doesn't charge for them, then as far as it goes for the 360 version if ut3, it will be gimped compared to the ps3 version, even more so to the pc version.
UT3 will be an awesome game soon in the PC arena.. Like 2k4 the game will have numerous upon numerous mods that will completely refine the game.. One of my best purchases was that of 2k4, where I played AMAZING mods like Alien Swarm..

But the UE just does not seem to be THE top performer in comparison to a lot of the games we've seen since. I suspect that Gears will look awesome. Hell, UT3 looks awesome. Just don't think it will wear the crown any longer when it comes out. There are a lot of engines that seem to be able to do more.
