I use to say that too ( 150.00 ) but after 15 months and I have yet to walk into a store with Wii's on the shelf for 250.00 - I wouldn't look for a price drop anytime soon.Wii better have a price drop b4 Mario Ka ...
Why would Nintendo drop the price a) right before arguably their biggest release of 08 and b) when the Wii is still borderline sold out anyway?
Why would Nintendo drop the price a) right before arguably their biggest release of 08 and b) when the Wii is still borderline sold out anyway?
Because if they think the demand is crazy now wait until they have a price drop. I am not buying the system until it is under $200.
I dont think they can justify a price drop until console sales cool down, which has not happened since launch. I do think that they should start dropping the price of their accessories and controllers. It must be a simple thing to make them, a lot simpler than a console anyway
The Wii will not be having a price drop any time soon and there is no rumor of a price drop. The thing sells out. You don't lower the price on something that sells out, its not good business. Don't expect a price drop until they stop selling out.

Funny thing is I have seen many wii in stores. If i had wanted to buy one I could already. I just need the price drop.

Why would nintendo listen to you, and make the Wii cheaper (which they can do). The console is selling like crazy with the pricepoint at this level !

I've said in a previous thread and it still goes now: A Pulitzer Prise for the news hound who uncovers with proof why after 15 months the company is still spending mega dollars on blanketing the airwaves with commercial meant to sell something most can't find in a store. Why ? What sense does that make ? Why keep marketing something the intended consumer can not get ?Just very peculiar to me - you?

All this is just wishful hope on my part because I want to play Mario Kart, but I am not going to if the system is still $250. I wish Nintendo would stop being greedy. They already may a huge profit off the sytem sold.
nothing on the price drop front. ure either goig to have to suck it up and pay the 250 or ure going to have to wait for a while. if the wii has another 07 in terms of sales then dont be expecting a price drop before christmas 09 at the earliest. thats my guess anywho.
