Motion controls are finally starting to ...

Many people doubt the Wii's motion controls, and I don't blame them. For a lot of games they have either:A. Been horrible and hurt the gameB. Were fine, but didn't add much to the gameHowever Wii controls are proving themselves in a lot of different genres.SPORTS:Wii Sports - Despite being incredibly simple, its A LOT more fun than most sport gamesPro Evolution Soccor - Not released yet, but the complex and well-working motion controls have been praisedFIRST PERSON SHOOTER:Metroid Prime 3 - First good FPS controls on the Wii that IS better than dual analog (But not as good as K%26B, but no one cares about the PC anyway)Medal of Honor 2: Heroes - While the game itself probably isn't that good, the motion controls are amazing. Easily the best thing since K%26B.ADVENTURE/PUZZLE:Zack and Wiki - This game had some pretty complex motion controls and most of them worked well. It definately breathes new life into the genre and made the game a hell of a lot more interesting.ACTION/ACTION ADVENTURE
No More Heroes - The motion controls in this game made it more interesting and other action games could benefit from the controls tooStar Wars: Force Unleashed (Not released) - No, it does't have 18 physics engines running at once, and no it doesn't run in 5,000p on your 500X600 inch Plasma screen LCD, but the motion controls are supposedly better than No More Heroes and should make it comparable to the 360 and PS3 versions.SIMULATION:No specific examples, but as we know dual analog SUCKS at these games and the Wiimote is a good solution to it. Games like Spore and all other simulation games are better off on the Wii (Control wise) than they are on the 360/PS3--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------So, here's a list of games in those genres that could benefit from motion controls:
Halo 3
Call of Duty 4
Resistance
Killzone
Halo Wars
Ninja Gaiden 2
Madden
FIFA
All sports games

Now there not looking so useless, are they? However, there ARE genres that just seem incompatible with Wii controls, like 2D fighters. However, even the mighty PC has control problems with certian genres (Platformers and fighters) and its still by far the best platform.I know the haters are gonna come in here with ''lulz ninjabread man'' and all the other games with horrible Wii controls, but it's up to the developer to use them correctly and picking out specific games that are bad is lame, like your face.Motion controls are finally starting to ...

Ninja gaiden 2? I dont think anyone can flick the wrist that fast

good read!I just find analouge sticks more comfortable but wii controls are for when i feel....active.
You forgot Galaxy.
Without the Wiimote the game would be so much less fun.
You forgot Galaxy.

agree with you on all but one thing, Star Wars : this game is about light swords, so making it with a motion controlled wiimote is by far better than pressing buttons on any other system, so i think the wii version will be by far the best no matter what good the other versions look...
Don't all post at once
LOLBut yeah can't wait for Pro Evo. That game's gonna be sweet!!!!:D

Their both good in completely different ways.

There's no real defined genre for it, though, since almost anything is a simulator. Maybe puzzle?

Well for fighters, the Wii has the retro controller which is sufficient and hopefully devs. will continue to offer that as an option, in case the motion controls don't work.
