GTAIV Will be better on the PS3 than the ...

Heya everybody! Gosh it has really been a while! But I tell what really has been a while - I'm sure you'll all agree with me...the wait for GTA IV - this gen's only really truly ground breaking game! Forget SMG or Halo 3 or even Resistance (as much as I hate to say it), GTAIV will change the way we think and play games in the future. But I don't need to prove to you why it's going to be such an awesome game - any credible gamers knows this and if they don't - another respectable thread will prove why. This thread is about a deeper seeded issue - whether GTAIV will be better on the 360 or the PS3. And the answer...will surprise many on System Wars but definately not yours truly!Credible magazine PSM in the UK presented a special edition on how the PS3 version of GTAIV will deliver a much more spectacular performance than the 360 version a while back. Here are the kickers they announced and new commentary and dissections of those elements:Less loading, more detail, more vibrant colours - this basically makes the game more realistic, immersive than ever before, not least the 360 version! Also on the PS3 - smoother picture courtesy of the mystical art of texture streaming! 360 may have episodic content download exclusively to its system but it looks like that may no longer be exclusive! So it would be better off getting the PS3 version because you may just get the episodic content available to download later on! Otherwise you'll still have the PSP connectivity option and multiplayer opportunities! They may have said it won't happen but you can't rule out anything...EVER! In addition to this - Rockstar may have some bad blood bubbling over developing for the 360 after stating that 'it is hard to develop on the 360 because of the lack of HDD because of caching.' Seems to me Rockstar have shown faults with not only the 360 version of GTAIV but also the 360 console itself. To also tie this in with a thread I've made previously - the PS3 version of GTAIV has the capability of being more graphically intensive than the 360 version because it has been indeed proven a more powerful console. I've pretty much summed up the evidence on the table so far. There's no doubt that GTAIV will indeed be the best game on the 360 until maybe GTAV ? By a long way. Are you by any chance referring to [url=http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/1154.html]THIS[/url] info that came out of PSM in May of last year? Is this the same PSM that claimed in 2006 that [url=http://www.playstation3-ps3.com/2006/01/17/gta4-a-playstation3-exclusive/]GTA4 would be a PS3 exclusive?[/url] And is this the same GTA4 that Rockstar confirmed as [url=http://www.digitalbattle.com/2008/01/24/gta-4-delay-caused-by-ps3-issues/]being delayed due to issues with the PS3 version?[/url]

I've heard a lot about this guy but wasn't on much in his time. this is legendary though. anyways i have a feeling the 360 version will play better anyways cuz its the only version they've been showing off

lets see the exclusive content is just that exclusive ps3 will be geting downloadable content but basically that will be available for the 360 as well from what i understand, the exclusive 50m dollar paid out content is exclusive to the 360.Last I checked rockstars stance was the ps3 caused the problems with gta4 delay and the 360 version was allways ahead of the ps3 version i development, nowthat is fixed and both games are at the same dev time and look exactly alike and pretty much work exactly alike. Oh and brigther colors? because of full RGB? means nothing if your tv dont support it, and less then 30% of tvs on the market do support full RGB and full range *which is the 360 equivilant*

Hmm.... Let's go over this again. You say that the PS3 version will be better due to Playstation-based magazine PSM saying that GTA4 would be graphically superior, despite the fact that, in the latest round of previews, the PS3 version wasn't shown to press. Meanwhile, you say that the differences we do know between the 360 and PS3 versions, namely the 360 exclusive episodes, won't be exclusive, despite that (as you admit) Rockstar has stated otherwise.You then go on to imply that Rockstar doesn't like the 360, as if they would intentionally sabotage that version and hurt its sales out of spite. You ignore that Rockstar has said that there are difficulties with both the 360 and Playstation 3. Your argument rests entirely on speculation (that the PS3 version will look better, that the exclusive content won't come, that Rockstar hates the 360), and ignores the facts that we currently possess (that the 360 version is the only one that has been shown to press, that the exclusive content has been confirmed to be content that will remain exclusive). Your argument flies in the face of all the evidence that exists, and has practically nothing to support it. In short, it's entirely bunk. Then again, should I have expected anything else from you?
